Sam is the Associate Pastor of Creative Arts at Lighthouse Church

Sam joined the Lighthouse Church staff when he was 22 years old and was our very first full-time pastor.

Sam grew up as a pastor’s kid in Decatur, Illinois and when he was 11 years old moved to Upstate New York where he met and married his wonderful wife, Jamie Tichenor.

They have two children Evelyn and Wilder. The Tichenor’s enjoy weekends going to amusement parks, museums, or watching movies together. Sam spent 9 years as a volunteer worship leader and youth worship director at a church in New York.
